Enthiran – The Robot, film shooting has taken place in Vellore district. featuring Rajinikant.The entire unit of Enthiran rushed to Vellore Institute of Technology popularly known as VIT campus located in Katpadi to shoot some important scenes of Enthiran On 25th, Christmas day,


Shankar completed a shooting schedule for Endhiran in the verdant campus of VIT. And as always, he successfully followed the stealth policy! The VIT shooting schedule was kept under wraps and no one from the media got wind of it. It was completed even while media persons were trying to? Extract? News about the Endhiran shooting at Ennore. But the crew apparently vanished from Ennore one day and surfaced at the VIT campus on Christmas Eve!

As usual, no one had a clue as to what was going on in VIT. Shankar and his crew arrived on December 24th to make all the arrangements; Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai arrived next day at 8:00 a.m. and the shooting took place amidst tight security. It is heard that the crew held its filming in? Technology Tower? A building considered one of the structural marvels of VIT, a jewel in its crown.

The shooting spot inside the VIT premises soon turned into a picnic spot. A crowd of nearly 10,000 people came to the shooting spot to have a glimpse of the Rajinikant and Aishwarya Rai. It soon became a law and order issue, and the cops had a tough time managing the shoot. Rajini and Aishwarya stayed at the luxury guest house of VIT.

Nobody seems to know the venue for the next shooting schedule. It will not be a wonder if Chandrayan sends images of Endhiran shooting on the moon! Even if that happens, we will come to know about it only when the crew returns and is busy shooting elsewhere! No one knows how on earth Shankar manages to keep his shooting spots a total secret despite the media being on high alert!

Superstar Rajnikanth reaches the shooting site on a motorcycle? It happened recently at the sets of Shankar’s ‘Endhiran the Robot’.

The superstar was on his way to Ennore port in north Chennai , where ‘Endhiran’s filming was going on , when rajini’s car got stuck in a traffic jam. Since there was no sign of the traffic snag getting cleared, the superstar got in touch with Shankar.
Shankar, not at all willing to waste time, sent bikers (his stuntmen) with a long coat and a helmet to bring the superstar. Rajni, without any hesitation, agreed to ride pillion, put on the long coat and the helmet, and arrived for shooting on time! The bikers were given strict instructions by Shankar not to allow Rajni to ride the bike,
The crews, including Aishwarya Rai, were shocked to see the superstar reaches the shooting on a motorcycle,

Enthiran-Two Rajini’s in a salon

One of the scenes in Rajinikanth’s Shankar directed Endhiran was shot in a beauty salon in Adyar. And as the case with all Rajini movies, the shooting spot was completely inaccessible for anybody else.

However, we have for you what took place that day. It’s known now that Rajini plays both the scientist and the freak robot he creates himself. The scene was such that the scientist brings the robot for a hairdo similar to his.

The Robot, also played by Rajini, being humored by the guys at the salon is what forms the rest of the scene. A scene to explain his mechanical capabilities, the Robot would complete any book given to him to keep him occupied in the salon, including the 300-page book that one would give him.

Shoot for Endhiran- The Robot has resumed in the city from Friday. Aishwarya Rai is expected to join the shoot from next week, after she completes her Ooty schedule for Mani Ratnam’s Ravana

Superstar’s “ENDHIRAN” bails out by Sun Pictures

SUN TV Network Ltd One of India’s largest entertainment conglomerate today announced that it would be producing the movie titled “ENDHIRAN (The ROBOT)”. “ENDHIRAN” is India’s biggest project in terms of grandeur, splendor and Star Cast.

It is Superstar Rajinikanth’s next live action movie. This 165 crore project is to be directed by Shankar, Aishwarya Rai stars along with Rajinikanth, Music is by AR Rahman

The film will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and other languages by the end of year 2009. Sun Pictures, the movie division of Sun TV Network Limited will be handling the production. This project promises to be the first of its kind in terms of CG (Computer Graphics), Special effects and Stunt Sequences. Top Notch technicians from Hollywood are being roped in for this movie making this project truly global.

Sun Pictures today officially announced the project with Superstar Rajinikanth, Mr. Shankar and Sun TV Network Limited’s Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Kalanithi Maran. Sun Pictures Chief Operating Officer Mr. W Hansraj Saxena and the cinematographer of the film Mr. Rathnavel were also present.

Mr. Kalanithi Maran said “This is a big moment for Sun Pictures as we feel this is going to be India’s biggest movie. We are very happy and proud to be associated with Superstar Rajinikanth, Shankar and A R Rahman, Aishwarya Rai. With this Sun Pictures shall scale greater heights internationally”.

Eros International and Ayngaran International have finally washed their hands

Eros International and Ayngaran International have finally washed their hands off their prestigious mega budget project - Endhiran. Putting all speculations to rest, Sun Pictures, an unit of Sun TV, has brought this multilingual film for a whopping Rs.165 crores.

With director Shankar in no mood to compromise on the production cost of the movie, the extremely high advance amount that Eros International had paid to some of the top actors and actresses from Bollywood for future projects and the overall global economic meltdown, are the other factors attributed to their inability to support Endhiran any further.

The Eros International had produced two Bollywood flicks Drona and Yuvvraj recently. But these films did not do well at the box office and the production house was reeling under severe financial pressure ever since these releases. It is said that the producers were looking for a suitable “buyer” to sell Endhiran, as they could not continue with the project.. The producers probably did not want to waste this all-important call sheet and therefore settled for a quick solution.
